A designer and marketer of footwear, belts and outdoor apparel. Brands include Royal Robbins, Tommy Bahama, Trotters, Softwalk, H.S. Trask, Altama Boots and Chambers Belts. In addition, the company makes combat and uniform boots for military use.
From 2002 through 2005, share book value rose from $2.55/share to $6.46/share. Unfortunately 2006 showed a rather sizable loss of $19.9 million that effectively canceled the gains of the four previous years. It is hoped that a licensing deal struck with the American Red Cross in 2006 will lead to new profits in the healthcare field during the second half of 2007. In the meantime, the company has recently hired Cathy Taylor to take over as the company's new CEO.
